Transport ,Communications and Road Network

The town of Marbella is crossed to the east-west by the Mediterranean Motorway (A-7) and the Autopista del Sol (AP-7), which connect the city with Estepona and Algeciras on one side and Malaga’s airport on the other. These roads also constitute the main axis of communication between different nuclei and the municipal housing.

Public Transportation

Marbella is the only municipality in Spain with more than 100,000 residents that does not have a railway station on its territory. However, the construction project is in the corridor of the Costa del Sol, which plans to merge with Malaga and will feature several stops in Marbella.

One of the trains may be a high-speed train. The nearest station is close to Fuengirola, 27 km from Malaga. There is a bus service along the coast.
