History of Arroyo de la Miel

Arroyo de la Miel is a town in theprovince ofMalaga. One of the three towns that make up the town ofBenalmadena with Benalmádena Costa and Benalmádena Pueblo. Although urban growth is almost imperceptible makes the distinction between these separate towns, they still have marked differences.

Arroyo de la Miel lies to the south to the town ofBenalmadena Costa and the west of Benalmádena Pueblo, north is the town ofAlhaurin de la Torre. It is structured around the A-368 (Mijas, Torremolinos road) that crosses the town as an urban voyage (Tivoli Avenue, Station Avenue and Avenue of the Constitution).

The National Statistical Institute since says the population of Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmádena Costa together as a "population unit" under the name of Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmádena Costa, due to the conurbation forming, so the number their inhabitants are added, giving rise to a population of around 50,000

Its highest point isMount Calamorro; rising some 770 m.
