Costa del Sol Towns
The cultural calendar
in Fuengirola is concentrated in the summer months. In June, the festival is
music and dance in Las Noches del Castillo, held at theSohail Castle.
Also at this site are the Medieval Market, the Festival City of Fuengirola and
the beer festival.
Other significant events are the International Trade Fair and the International
Fair of people, both held in May, and the International Festival of Latin
Rhythms, held in September.

Museum of History is the
only museum in the city, opened in 2003 is home to a collection of relics
related to the history of the city.
The Open Museum: Opened in 1988, is composed of
works of artistic creators, artists and painters such as Enrique Brinkmann,
exposing large murals on the facades of several buildings in the town.
The Peace Palace is a multipurpose space for the
representation of theatrical and musical
performances, exhibitions and lectures. It was opened in 2001.
Varietes Hall is a small theatre that
provides a programming exclusively in English.
Casa de la Cultura: contains an exhibition hall and assembly hall with a
capacity of 165 people for lectures, concerts, theatre, etc.

Fuengirola Attractions
Castillo Sohail, Fuengirola near the river,
from the highest part of the castle there is a nice view towards the beach and
the city.
Secretary of Finca in Los Boliches is the
ruins of a Roman villa with mosaics.
Fuengirola Zoo is a very small but pleasantly laid out zoo near the
train station.
There is a Roman temple, on the seafront in Los Boliches, next to Plaza de
Castilla, now known as San Rafael (name given to him by the constructor
Cordoban Rafael Gomez Sanchez.
Church ofOur Lady of the Rosary is a very attractive small church.
Various sculptures are dotted around town, especially along the Promenade and
the so-called Carretera General, as dedicated to the peseta, and a large metal
peseta in a song, above a large map of Spain, made in marble, or the
monument to the ever present tourist.

Fuengirola has two
libraries and third in the former Oceanographic Centre of Malaga, the port,
specializing in geological studies of the Mediterranean coastline, fisheries
biology, marine pollution and other marine issues.
The festivities include traditional Three Kings, carnival, Easter, the night of
San Juan and
the Pilgrimage of Our Lady of the Rosary. In October we celebrate the Fair's
largest town, in which actors are singing and dancing Andalusian horses.
On the Feast of the Virgen del Carmen in July, the image of the Virgin comes in
procession from his temple to the port, where they shipped out to sea, where
they met with another image of the Virgin while sailing, almost to the arrival
in the morning. The festival is celebrated with great moraga on the beach in Los Boliches, where he
embarks on the second blank.
