Malaga Airport

Malaga airport is the first airport in Andalusia, the third of the Iberian Peninsula of Spain and fourth in number of passengers. In 2007, 67% of the total passengers in the community, at a total of 13.5 million passed through.

It has international connections to Europe (especially the United Kingdom and Germany), North Africa, Middle East and North America through New York in addition to domestic flights to major Spanish cities.

Since 1996 a liner service has operated between the airport helicopter from Malaga and Ceuta Heliport, which carries about 20,000 each year. The airport is connected to the city via the bus line 19 and many intercity buses bound for the Costa del Sol, as well as by train. Since 2007 it has been remodelled and expanded to include a third terminal.
